What the dispensary SEO case study covers
The dispensary case study follows two anonymized brands through both halves of growth: local search that brought in new customers, and win-back campaigns that brought back customers who had stopped ordering. Nearfront ran the local SEO and Tact Firm ran the email and SMS campaigns.
Search and retention measure different things. Search results show how many new people find a store, and retention results show how many past customers come back. A store needs both numbers to know whether its customer base is growing.
How results are measured
Rankings come from local ranking grids and keyword tracking, which show where each location appears across its city and how many keywords sit in the top three positions. Traffic comes from Google Search Console and GA4, and Google Business Profile data shows the calls, direction requests and website visits a profile produces.
Retention results come from the win-back campaigns themselves: how many lapsed customers ordered again, how long they had been away and the revenue their orders produced. A client's live reports use the same grids, traffic data and profile data as the figures on this page.
Reading the numbers
Top three rankings count the keywords where a business appears in the first three positions, where local searchers look first. Growth from 71 to 564 keywords means the brand moved into that range for hundreds of searches it had been missing.
Organic traffic counts visits from unpaid search results, so an 82% rise over twelve months means nearly twice as many people reached the site from search as a year earlier. Reactivated customers are people who had stopped ordering and came back after a campaign reached them, and the average gap of 228 days means they had been gone for more than seven months.
A useful case study states the time period, the starting point and how each number was measured. That is why each figure here carries its window: twelve months for rankings and traffic, and under six months for the recovered revenue.
Why clients are anonymized
Case studies on this site stay anonymous where a client asks, so the figures can be specific while the brand stays private. The numbers themselves are unchanged, and each one keeps its measurement window.
Your own numbers
A ranking grid for each of your locations shows where your stores rank today across their cities, and that grid is where every engagement starts. It uses the same measurements as the case study, applied to your own stores.
