Company history, 2014 to now
The companies Guillermo Bravo built
From the first SEO agency for cannabis dispensaries to the platforms he runs now. Here is the whole history, with a page for each company.
Full timeline
From a cannabis media site to AI local search.
Four companies since 2014, one acquisition, and the same idea running through all of them: knowing one industry deeply beats knowing every industry a little.
- 2014
Cashinbis and Green Rush Expo
Guillermo co-founded Cashinbis, a media platform covering the legal cannabis and hemp industry, and produced Green Rush Expo, the first cannabis event in San Diego. Interviews with dispensary owners kept landing on the same problem: nobody was building marketing for businesses that were not allowed to advertise.
- 2017
Foottraffik
He founded Foottraffik, the first SEO agency built only for cannabis dispensaries. The cannabis local SEO playbook got written there from scratch, including Google Business Profile work across every location a client operated. Paid search and programmatic advertising came later, inside the rules the category has to follow.
- 2019
MediaJel partnership
Foottraffik partnered with MediaJel, a cannabis marketing technology company, to widen what its dispensary clients could do with programmatic advertising.
- 2021
MediaJel acquires Foottraffik
The acquisition was an 8-figure exit. Guillermo stayed on for about two years to see the transition through.
- 2025
Nearfront
Launched in October 2025 to run the Foottraffik playbook with AI agents: review requests over iMessage, Google Business Profile optimization, local citations, ranking grids for every location, and tracking of what Google AI Overviews, Gemini and ChatGPT say about a brand. Reporting reads live from Search Console, GA4 and Google Business Profile.
- 2025
BlueMap
Takes the same local search work across North America to veterinary clinics, home services, medical and legal practices and restaurants.
Foottraffik, MediaJel, Nearfront, BlueMap
Three companies he founded, and the one that bought the first.
Each company built on the one before it. Cashinbis showed Guillermo the gap in dispensary marketing, Foottraffik filled it, the MediaJel acquisition proved the model, and Nearfront and BlueMap now run it with AI agents for dispensaries and other local industries.
